Alicia Keys criticized for not Standing during the National Anthem

Songwriter/Philanthropist and Soul Singer Alicia Keys is receiving flack from you know who, over not standing during her rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" before the Superbowl.

As of now, the NFL says that they blocked the video of the performance due to copyright issues. Although the song is public domain, because Alicia changed and copyrighted the arrangement she used for the Super Bowl, they have to wait before posting it on

Ms. Keys publicist released this statement:

“Alicia is a proud American and was honored to perform at the event.. Her slow version of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ was her own arrangement, accompanying herself on the piano, adding ‘living in the home of the brave’ at the end of the song. It’s silly to see how that was being disrespectful.”

We loved the song, reminded us of  Marvin Gaye's rendition. During this time of turmoil in the U.S., the song just had more meaning the way she sang it. I mean look, should she have covered her heart while singing the song as well? Too much Adieu about nothing!!!!
