Pepsi/Mt.Dew Kicks Lil Wayne to the Curb FINALLY!

It is amazing how long Lil Wayne took to apologize to Emmit Till's family for his disgusting lyrics about their family member. The Till family had to actually threaten him with "sanctions" of his endorsements for him to put out a half way apology, which the family rejected on the spot.

"While it’s commendable that he has vowed to respect the legacy of Emmett Till and his memory to ‘not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in his music,’ this statement falls short of an apology, as none is mentioned.”

The Mountain Dew DeWeezy campaign was Wayne’s first major endorsement deal and was orchestrated around the same time that Pepsi picked up Nicki Minaj for their global “Live For Now” campaign (which was later dropped when she signed on to Coca Cola sponsored American Idol).

With the recent controversy of Rick Ross being dropped from Reebok over his "rape" lyrics, other artists are concerned they will become adversely affected by the poor choices of the two.
