The Breakfast Club's Charlamagne receives write up in the NYT..hmmm

 Any Entrepreneur/Business person would revel in receiving a write up in New York Times. Congrats! Although, we wonder would someone like a Jasiri X, who speaks out about Police Brutality and Civil Rights Atrocities would have received the same accolades? Maybe has.., just asking. Or maybe he could careless! Anywhoo...

Charlamagne Tha God, the shock-jock host of 105.1’s morning show, “The Breakfast Club,” has a penchant for making his guests squirm.
His interview with Kanye West went viral. 

When Justin Bieber arrived to promote his album “Believe” in 2012, Charlamagne admonished him for the company he was beginning to keep, telling him that it was fine to do records with black rappers, but to stop hanging around them because eventually they were going to get him into trouble.
When Lil’ Kim came on his program, he told her she was beautiful and that he couldn’t understand why she had gotten so much plastic surgery. (On his Twitter feed, he compared her current look to the basketball player Jeremy Lin.) 

And when Jay Z appeared earlier this year, Charlamagne wondered whether the rapper would have become a titan of industry if his close friend Christopher Wallace (better known as the Notorious B.I.G.) had not been shot and killed. 

“I’m a slightly obnoxious person,” Charlamagne said, when asked why he always asks questions like this. “I don’t even think about it. You know what I’m saying? I just like to have conversations with people.” 

Still, no interview he’s done in three years of hosting the program has garnered as much attention as the one he did a few weeks back with Kanye West. 

He stopped by the show the morning after his Barclays Center concert and sat uncomfortably for 40 minutes as Charlamagne pummeled away at him. Read Full NYT WriteUp
