Can't Stay Away: Singer Jazmine Sullivan back in Spotlight, performs in London

I was kind of disheartened when Jazmine Sullivan announced her departure from the music industry because the girl can sing, she always reminded me of old guard class divas such as Gladys Knight...Glad to see her return. Wondering if she is Independent now.

Jazmine Sullivan took to the stage at the KOKO Theater in London this weekend, where she performed tracks from her first two albums, 2008’s Fearless and 2010’s Love Me Back, and her own rendition of “Get Lucky” by Daft Puck and Pharrell Williams. Along with showing off those powerhouse vocals that we’ve so desperately missed, the 26-year-old soul star announced that her third studio project will drop later this year.

The “I Need You Bad” singer announced her departure from music industry back in January 2011. “I’m making an official announcement that I am taking a break from music. I’m trying to figure out who i am… w/out a mike, paper or pen,” she tweeted. “I promised myself that when it wasn’t fun anymore I wouldn’t do it. And here I am. I’m not saying I won’t ever sing again in my life becuz I don’t believe that. But in this moment… rt now… I got some things to figure out.”
