What an awesome match-up between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat for the 2014 NBA Playoff Series! All basketball fans were anxiously anticipating the two teams going head to head as the playoffs wound down to the best of the best and boy did they deliver!

However, only one team would be the victor and honestly, the San Antonio Spurs almost seemingly, effortlessly, blew out the Miami Heat in double sometimes triple numbers, back to back....twice on the Heat's own home turf and than again outpaced the popular team back at home for the WIN! Check the Deets!

The San Antonio Spurs have claimed their fifth NBA championship. They beat the Miami Heat on Sunday Night 104-87 to win the NBA championship in five games in a seven game series.

The title comes a season after the Spurs blew a 3-2 series lead and lost the NBA Finals to the Heat in seven games.

Kawhi Leonard Named NBA Finals MVP

Kawhi Leonard could have been devastated by losing last season’s NBA Finals. Instead, he vowed to get better.

Just think — the San Antonio Spurs’ youngest star (he’s 22) is only getting started. He’s a champion now, with the Spurs beating the Miami Heat 104-87 on Sunday night in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, finishing off a 4-1 triumph. And after watching the Heat celebrate last season, Leonard was the pick as MVP of the series, accepting his award from 11-time champion Bill Russell.

“Everybody is just living in the moment right now,” Leonard said. “Really don’t know what’s going on.”
He’ll figure it out quick. After all, the Spurs know titles — this one being their fifth since 1999.
