Tracy Morgan's New TV Show will continue after his Recovery

Tracy Morgan's new show for FX is still on track and will begin filming when he has recovered from his injuries, the cable network said Tuesday.

"The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident," FX noted in a statement, according to The New York Times. "We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery."

FX added of its support: "At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him. Right now our thoughts and prayers remain with Tracy, the other victims of the accident, and their families."

The network's reassurance about the as-yet-unnamed FXX cable-channel series, which was to begin filming in August, comes as Morgan, 45, recovers in a New Jersey hospital after a Saturday night accident that killed his friend and mentor James McNair, 62, known to comedians as Jimmy Mack. Three others were injured in the six-car crash.
