Civil Rights groups weigh in on Westchester County Fair Housing Settlement


Representatives from several civil rights organizations have thrown their weight behind the Anti-Discrimination Center’s criticism of Westchester County’s implementation of its 2009  fair housing settlement with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the oversight of the settlement by HUD and the court-appointed monitor.

Legal Defense and Education Fund sent a letter to Jim Johnson, the monitor overseeing the settlement, asking him to expand his analysis of zoning in Westchester, arguing that his methodology is inconsistent with fair housing law. Read in Entirety
