Disturbing- Girls 12 & 14 used as sex slaves in Dekalb County rescued
Police say a relative of someone inside the home called the special victim’s unit and reported the two girls were being held as sex slaves.
Dozens of DeKalb County police officers swarmed the home on South Hairston Road in Stone Mountain around 10 p.m.
When an officer approached the apartment, one of the men inside the home pointed a gun at the officer. That’s when the SWAT team was called in to help.
The SWAT team was able to end the standoff and rescue the young girls inside several hours later.
Investigators said the girls, ages 12 and 14, were forced to be prostitutes.
Two men and a woman inside the unit were arrested.
The children were taken to a local hospital and are in protective custody Friday.
Investigators are trying to determine how long the girls were used as sex slaves. source:WSBTV
