Kalief Browder's family receives 3.3 Million Settlement from New York City

This is great news for the family of Kalief Browder! Unfortunately his mother will not be here to see the victory she valiantly fought for her son Kalief. Kalief Browder committed suicide after having been falsely arrested and accused of stealing a bookpack at the age of 16. He spent 3 years on Riker's Island awaiting a trial that never came.
